Present a short decision brief with evidence, unresolved issues and a named alternative. Do not let a polished numerical score conceal a missing correction route.

Which items are deposit gates?

Gate Proceed when Hold when
Service identity The quotation specifies the pattern and fitting process being bought Only “bespoke,” “premium” or “handmade” is stated
Fitting access Appointments, garment stages and responsible people are confirmed The plan contains dates but no explanation of what can be changed
Specification Cloth, construction and silhouette are documented Material substitutions or construction choices remain open
Accountability A named contracting party owns the correction process The workshop and fitter can each redirect the buyer to the other
Delivered budget Known charges and unresolved items are visible The comparison assumes shipping, imports or corrections are free
Deadline resilience The buyer has an acceptable contingency The commission must succeed on the first attempt to meet a critical event

A missing answer is not evidence of misconduct. It is a reason to clarify the agreement before committing money.

What should the quotation request say?

Please quote one pilot business suit and identify: the exact cloth and construction; whether the pattern is individually developed or adapted from a block; who measures, cuts, makes and corrects; the garment stage at every fitting; the complete delivery-cost basis; payment milestones; and the alteration, remake or refund process if the suit does not meet the agreed specification. Please distinguish what can be resolved before my departure from what would be handled after US delivery.

Bottom line: the useful comparison is not “Vietnam versus America.” It is this specified commission, with these fittings and this remedy, versus the best accessible alternative. Choose the Vietnamese route when the evidence and total burden support it; choose a domestic alternative—or postpone—when they do not.
